The various sales promotion techniques aim to increase a company’s turnover.

Sales promotion techniques are governed by two major principles: price freedom in competition law and the principle of fair competition.

Mainly, the advantage granted to the consumer must be real and not simulated and the promotions implemented will be illegal if they constitute an unfair commercial practice within the meaning of consumer law, a deceptive commercial practice or an aggressive commercial practice.
