Bible ( or operating manual)

The “Bible” or operating manual is a document written by the franchisor, specifying the know-how, methods and procedures specific to the concept of the brand, given to the franchisee at the end of his initial training. It is strictly confidential and remains the property of the franchisor.

The manual must be regularly updated and enriched according to the evolution of the know-how it materializes. The operating manual makes it possible to individualize and identify the franchisor’s know-how.

Its examination is carried out in the event of a dispute over the characteristics of the know-how by the judge who has been seized of an application for nullity of the franchise contract for absence or inconsistency of the know-how.
