Pre-Contractual Information
Document (PID)
The dip is a document drawn up by the brand and communicated to the candidate for entry into the distribution network, which lists the mandatory information pursuant to Article L. 330-3 of the Commercial Code having codified the law of 31 December 1989 known as the DOUBIN Law.
We will find articles on the pre-contractual information document on our website. You can find them in the section “the life of the franchisor”, by selecting in the drop-down menu “create, improve, develop, defend your distribution network”, then “pre-contractual information document”.
The delivery of the dip to the candidate is mandatory at least 20 days before the signing of the distribution contract since this contract provides for the provision of a distinctive sign (trade name, brand) and stipulates obligations of exclusivity or quasi-exclusivity at the expense of the distributor, all in return for the existence of the payment of a sum of money.
