Assist you in a procedure before the jury of advertising ethics

The Advertising Ethics Panel is a public interest body that deals with complaints against advertisements, checking whether they comply with ethical rules. It is an associated body of the Professional Advertising Regulatory Authority (ARPP), which issues public notices, but does not impose sanctions.

The Jury of Advertising Ethics is seized of a precise advertisement,  broadcast for less than two months, and renders an opinion, then published on its own site, on the respect of ethical rules, in particular the recommendations of the ARPP based on the ICC Code on Advertising and Commercial Communications, reinforced, according to their themes, by the Charters of Commitments signed by the representatives of the professionals, the ARPP and the Public Authorities.

One of your advertisements may be the subject of a referral to the Jury of Advertising Ethics, which will then convene you in session to hear your observations on any breaches that may have been noted with regard to compliance with ethical rules.

The phase of drafting observations as well as that of assistance during the session is of particular importance, insofar as, in addition to the negative reputational impact of an opinion, it may corroborate a possible control of the DGCCRF, or an action in unfair competition at the initiative of a competitor who considers himself aggrieved.

GOUACHE Avocats, brings you all its expertise, in consumer law, and in advertising to respond in the most efficient way possible to a procedure of opinion of the Jury of advertising ethics.
